Sinai Dawn, Oil on Canvas, 1.40cmx1.60cm

This is a painting I made in 2002, which is probably my favourite picture. Inspired by the magnificent view from the top of a mountain in Sinai called Abbas Pasha, I called it Sinai Dawn, to evoke the spiritual significance of Sinai for the Jewish people, and peopled it with three tiny figures: One in flowing robes at the top of a mountain (on the right), and another two brewing up over a twig fire for breakfast, way down in the wadi below.
