Description

I’ve always loved Hemigway’s classsic tale of one man’s struggle against the natural world and fate. It applies universally to all our struggles in life, and is especially pertinent to artists! This figure is based on a fellow office-worker, who was smoking a cigarette outside, before starting the day’s work in front of his computer. While I was working on it, the figure became, in my imagination, the old man from Hemingway’s book, and, apart from his angular pose, no longer resembled Avi, the programmer.
